FAITH - MORE THAN BLIND TRUST

Most bloggers are commentators. They take a news story, add their own comments and post it. Brigid’s work is of a different order. She’s a writer, an original source. I love the way she puts words and thoughts together:
FAITH - MORE THAN BLIND TRUST
I was talking to a coworker about the election news that Obama […]

A Coeur d’Alene man is suing a rifle-making company and Wal-Mart after a gun he bought at the store in Post Falls allegedly exploded, permanently injuring his hand.
James Monette bought the Mossberg 100 ATR 30-06 Springfield hunting rifle as a Christmas present for his son in 2005, according to court documents.

Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll (R-25) has sponsored a bill (A1282) that would revise the procedure for obtaining a permit to carry a firearm for the purpose of self-defense in New Jersey. Interspersed were tales and anecdotes, explanations and technical guidance.

Topics: The open carry battle, “I don’t carry a gun…” Why do we practice reloads? Guns I like: the Ruger 10/22

Voters in 14 Illinois counties will have a chance next month to let Springfield know what they think about citizens’ right to carry concealed firearms.

“I am not in favor of concealed weapons,” Obama said. “I think that creates a potential atmosphere where more innocent people could (get shot during) altercations.” Barack Obama–Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, April 2, 2008

The Ruger Project

Being a tinkerer and somewhat OC (obsessive-compulsive), I decided I could make it better. Something I have done with nearly every rifle I have owned. The first step was to read some of the forums which are about 10/22’s. Several of them said not to rush out and buy a new barrel until you give your factory barrel a fair chance to perform at its best. The number one improvement recommended is a trigger replacement.
