Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll (R-25) has sponsored a bill (A1282) that would revise the procedure for obtaining a permit to carry a firearm for the purpose of self-defense in New Jersey. This bill would make it possible for qualified persons who do not have a criminal history to carry their firearm for personal defense.

Voters in 14 Illinois counties will have a chance next month to let Springfield know what they think about citizens’ right to carry concealed firearms.

A Clean Gun Is a Happy Gun

Regular maintenance is important. If you don’t clean your gun, it will fail you some day.

Commissioner Lambert is known for his advocacy for the right to bear arms and the fact he exercises his right by carrying a concealed weapon. He is a carry permit holder. Lambert told 10 News he saw uniformed guards responding to the gunshots. “I noticed the security guards were not armed, and so I followed and went with the security guards in case I could be of assistance.” Armed with a handgun, Lambert saw a man holding a firearm at his side at Reno Menswear. “I basically encountered the suspect and witnessed he was armed and very agitated.”

Birds can see from the side to help protect themselves, women can not. There must be a way to level the playing field and for me that is carrying concealed. The hawk does not know I have a 38 special in my holster, but he does sense the confidence in my stride, the firmness of my hand. I do not walk timidly, I walk with strength, even if it is of the hollowpoint variety

The Smith and Wesson M +P 3. For a female shooter considering something to carry concealed for the first time, it’s a nice alternative to the G-22 and has less recoil due to a low bore axis. Like the G-22 it will stay tight and accurate, but even more so, necessary if you’re using it for self defense.

…Spurred by fear of a violent attack or because they have actually survived one more Washingtonians are getting a concealed pistol license. The license, or CPL, allows them to travel with a hidden gun among an unknowing public. License holders jumped from about 179,000 to 258,000, 43 percent, between 2003 and 2007. The state Department of Licensing says permit applications in Kitsap County jumped from 1,587 in 2004 to 3,339 in 2007…
