Most people are probably unaware of it, but on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, handguns, rifles and shotguns will be sales tax free in South Carolina. State lawmakers passed a bill in June that includes the sales tax holiday on firearms. They called it the Second Amendment Recognition Act.

“I don’t carry a gun…” Unauthorized revisions. These things take on a life of their own, and I know that there is no real way to put a stop to it. In many ways I am delighted that I created a “viral” idea. I would ask from those of you who are readers and friends of mine that when you receive one of these or see one posted on a forum, that you refer the sender back to this page so that they can see the way the piece was originally written, who wrote it, and how it should rightfully remain.

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) study on human lead levels of hunters in North Dakota has confirmed what hunters throughout the world have known for hundreds of years, that consuming game harvested with traditional ammunition poses absolutely no health risk to people, including children, and that the call to ban lead ammunition was and remains a scare tactic being pushed by anti-hunting groups to forward their political agenda.

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc.announces that it has recently received a small number of reports from the field indicating that LCP pistols can discharge when dropped onto a hard surface with a round in the chamber. Although no injuries have been reported, we are firmly committed to safety and will retrofit all older LCP pistols (described below). The retrofit involves installation of an upgraded hammer mechanism at no charge to the customer.
