I carry because I am empowered with not just the right, but the duty to take care of myself. I am sovereign in my protection of myself, charged with that moral duty and supported by the Second Amendment and the steady hand that holds the grip. It is a decision that I alone make, to carry responsibly, to be proficient, to be sure. I can no more imagine giving that up, than the sibilant intake of breath as I squeeze the trigger

You see judge, that is why “shall issue” is, you know, shall issue. Meleanie Hain did nothing illegal or wrong, but if you had you way you would render her defenseless because of your anti gun bigotry. You should know that a holstered firearm is not a safety concern.
Commissioner Lambert is known for his advocacy for the right to bear arms and the fact he exercises his right by carrying a concealed weapon. He is a carry permit holder. Lambert told 10 News he saw uniformed guards responding to the gunshots. “I noticed the security guards were not armed, and so I followed and went with the security guards in case I could be of assistance.” Armed with a handgun, Lambert saw a man holding a firearm at his side at Reno Menswear. “I basically encountered the suspect and witnessed he was armed and very agitated.”
Birds can see from the side to help protect themselves, women can not. There must be a way to level the playing field and for me that is carrying concealed. The hawk does not know I have a 38 special in my holster, but he does sense the confidence in my stride, the firmness of my hand. I do not walk timidly, I walk with strength, even if it is of the hollowpoint variety

This Jew will cling to his guns and his religion if (G-d forbid) Barack Hussein Obama is elected President of the United States.

Sitting in the dark for a week with no electrical power gave me a lot of time to think about survival. What developed in my mind was a “hierarchy” of conditions required to stay alive, maintain some quality of life, and recover when the crisis has passed.

In a strong bipartisan effort, House Democrats and Republicans recently joined forces to introduce H.R. 6691, the “Second Amendment Enforcement Act.” This critical NRA-backed legislation would overturn Washington, D.C.’s newly enacted “emergency gun control laws,” which continue to defy the U.S. Supreme Court’s unambiguous decision in District of Columbia v. Heller by continuing to restrict D.C. residents’ right to self-defense.

No one should be surprised that Concealed Weapon Laws Make Security Practitioners Worried. I’ll bet there were lots of “security practitioners” that were “worried” about blacks being released from slavery too. Reading the study they cite I found certain items particularly interesting.

It is seldom glamorous, and it may even be a bit beaten up. It may not be terribly expensive or possessed of “match grade” accuracy. It earns its place not from its power or accuracy but because of what it does: it’s there, 24/7. It is the gun that is always with you. Because of what it does, it becomes the most important gun that you own.

I explain that to realize the benefit of a handgun in saving ones life, the shooter must be able to hit what they intend. I explain that that a shooter who is unable to hit their target may as well be tossing lit firecrackers at their attacker. They have a noisemaker, not an effective tool to stop an attack. Marksmanship matters. Only then do we go to a range and load a weapon…
