What Are They Thinking!

HS Precision Gets Endorsement by Lon Horiuchi

{Via AR15.com.)

This should be enough to make every freedom loving American vomit.  HS Precision, manufacturer of stocks and other parts for precsion rifles, is featuring an endorsement of their products by Lon Horiuchi on the back of their catalog. Here’s a scan (click on the thumbnail for a full size image):

For readers unfamiliar with Horiuchi, he is the FBI sniper who shot Vicki Weaver during the the standoff at Ruby Ridge 1992.  He was also present at the 1993 Waco siege where he was again suspected of misconduct.  He charged with manslaughter for Weaver’s death but the charge was eventually dismissed in a Federal court, the basis for which was the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution.  (Note that this ruling doesn’t go to the merits of the case.)  In gun owner circles, he is regarded as a murderer.

As pointed out by Arfcommer "dedfella," this is akin to having a fertilizer company get an endorsement by Timothy McVeigh.  Poor taste, putting it mildly.

The owners of HS Precision would have to be living under a rock to not understand the revulsion this would incite among gunnies.  Obviously, they don’t give a shit about us and are only concerned with securing .gov contracts.  Screw ‘em.

It is behaviour like that which gives little entreprenurial guys a chance to set up in business.

Now could be a good time for someone who’s just been made redundant to turn their hobby into a businness.

it is probably worth putting pressure on politicos and cops at local and state level to steer them away from any crowd who welcome endorsements from such folk.

I’m sure your federal tax dollars will continue to enrich HS though :-(

    Congratulations!

Great job securing an endorsement from Lon Horiuchi! Maybe next you can sign John Allen Muhammend and Lee Boyd Malvo to Team H-S Precision!

I’m sure the fact that they went to prison for their crimes while Horiuchi didn’t won’t change the way people percieve your company.

Hey, how about a Charles Whitman signature model - that outta sell well!

I hope you have enough government contracts to stay in business after this*. No free gun owning American will consider touching your product from here out.

    Regards,
    Joe Allen

*Actually, I don’t. I hope your buildings are empty, your machinery still, and your management flipping burgers by this time next year.

I would also recommend contacting Remington and CZ and any others that use HS products as OEM and let them know what you think.

This has got to be a hoax, right? It’s difficult to fathom the complete obliviousness to LH’s murderous actions by the honchos at HS Precision. If this is for real, it seems the gun industry contains more than one Quisling. I wonder how many more will come out of the woodwork and cut deals with the upcoming regime for favorable treatment at the expense of the industry and private gun owners.

No, it isn’t a hoax. David Codrea confirmed it. They really did this. It’s isn’t stupid Photoshop tricks.

LET US SUPPORT OUR OWN SHOOTING SPORT BY FINDING SOME ONE TO HELP US MAKE OUR OWN PARTS AND NOT US THEIRS
THEY’VE BEEN USING OUR $ FOR YEARS, LETS STOP THE FLOW?

Well its obvious that we all need to write HS & tell them we won’t be buying their stocks anymore.

I was getting ready to make another 1000yd gun & was deciding on a stock.

Obviously it will NEVER be an HS.

I am an avid shooter, and competitor and can afford to buy any product that I wish to use. I will NEVER buy an HS product EVER!!!! I am appalled and disgusted at the actions of a company that has supported the firearms industry, and has the longevity that HS has.
Its a shame!! Shame on you HS Precision!!

I am really disapointed in HS Precision. they should know better.

I won’t be buying any more of their stocks, or rifles made with their stocks.
