Heh. They’re just enforcing truancy. No, it looks like the DOE Office of the Inspector General is the law enforcement arm of the DOE. They investigate fraud and the like within the department.

OK, so they need shotguns to investigate internal fraud at the department? Those federales must be getting pretty cranky.

Maybe a pilot program for school security forces? Something they can keep locked away but accessible for serious situations.

Well, first off, that’s something I’d like to have myself as a car gun for self defense.

Two, how can they justify such weaponry? To protect the HQ of the US Dept of Ed? Really, I’m all for well armed law enforcement, but why couldn’t they use the same off the shelf 18″ barrel extended magazine wooden stocked 870 that everyone else does.

And exactly how many shooting incidents have operatives/agents/guards of this agency EVER been involved in?
