An individual or group of individuals commits domestic terrorism if the individual or group of individuals are not affiliated with a local, state or federal law enforcement entity and associate with another individual or group of individuals as an organization, group, corporation or company for the purpose of patrolling to detect alleged illegal activity or to individually patrol for the purpose of detecting alleged illegal activity and if the individual or group of individuals is armed with a firearm or other weapon. This bill could make any lawfully armed citizen liable to a felony charge of domestic terrorism. It would go far beyond crippling its intended target, The Minutemen. It also gets into that weird area of “thought crime” where a person can be prosecuted, not for an action, but for their intentions.
The bill, introduced as HB 2286 in the Arizona House on Thursday, is sponsored by Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Phoenix. Sinema is formerly of the Green Party.
Sinema is targeting border-security groups like the Minutemen with new legislation that would define anyone not formally affiliated with law enforcement, who patrolled in search of illegal activity while armed, as a domestic terrorist. If it becomes law, the bill would impose a mandatory minimum jail sentence, even if prosecutors recommend probation.
Sinema and other Democrat legislators joined the ACLU and the American Friends Service Committee as legal observers during the Minutemen’s project on the Arizona-Mexico border in April 2005.
“I’ve been monitoring the Minutemen for a year now,” Sinema told vigilantewatch.org at the time, “and they’re just scary.”
“Race-based tactics always lead to violence,” she insisted. “Remember, the Ku Klux Klan was the first-ever group to patrol the border between the U.S. and Mexico back in the ’70s.” Source
So I guess we should just stand still while human smugglers and drug cartels assault our unarmed National Guard positions on the border, and make felons out of US citizens who are exercising their Second Amendment rights? I guess it’s “racist” to expect that the laws of the United States be observed? Is there anything else you’d like, Rep. Sinema? How about we simply outlaw all guns so the drug gangs won’t have anyone to shoot back at them? Then we can cede California, Arizona and Texas to Mexico and be done with it? Would that make you and your communist, excuse me — Green, buddies happy?
Rep. Sinema (D-AZ-well what else?) has seen the activities of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps as “scary?” And of course the Congressman has proof to back up this charge.
Recently in my area of California, the INS and ICE have waged a small war against Mexican nationals and other illegal aliens from south of the border who are living in the United States illegally. The local media had the audacity to claim the raids conducted by ICE agents were spreading “terror” amongst the local people because they identified themselves not as “INS” agents, but simply as “police.” Spreading terror? The media wants individuals listening to the story to picture Nazis raiding polish ghettos, while randomly executing helpless men, women and children. Apparently we are supposed to fear the police.
I wrote Ms. Sinema last week. I asked her whether there are any other rights acknowledged in the Constitution of the United States which she believes should be illegal for citizens to exercise.
I asked her, for example, whether she believes a United States citizen who refuses to allow the authorities to search her home without a legal search warrant should be guilty of a felony by virtue of exercising her rights as acknowledged in the Fourth Amendment.
I considered asking her whether she thinks she should be found guilty of a felony whenever she exercises her right to vote as outlined in the Nineteenth Amendment, but we’ll tackle that one next.
Then, we’ll move on to whether she believes all government officials commit a felony whenever they assemble peacefully. That is, after all, another right acknowledged in the Constitution.
I have not yet heard from the honorable Ms. Sinema.
Could it be that she is concerned about going to prison for exercising her First Amendment rights?

What Ms. Sinema should find “scary” is a government that refuses to secure our borders in a time of war. Not law-abiding citizens!
So I guess that Neighborhood Watch Programs and Homeowners Associations would be similarly illegal under this new legislation? So if I am armed and happen to be walking by Ms Sinema’s home some night when she is being accosted by a robber or worse, a rapist, if I interfere then I would go to jail? Okay, got it. And in that case the robber (or rapist) would go free, become an American citizen under amnesty, collect unemployment, get “free” medical services, collect Social Security, be allowed to sue me because of my actions, be allowed to vote, get a driver’s license, be allowed to carry a gun to defend his rights (it is our 2nd Amendment right after all), import drugs into my great country, I would be in solitary for 23 hours a day for the next 12 years, and Ms Sinema would be standing there with the ACLU not lifting a finger to help me? Okay, got it.
What is truly scary is that there are people out there that would actually believe this tripe under the guise of “globalization” or defending the rights of citizens of the world. You know what? I LOVE being an American, I am an avowed and defiant American nationalist, I don’t want America to be swallowed up by globalization efforts and I firmly believe there are millions out there who think similarly. Where are you?
By the way, I could be considered a terrorist so she may have gotten that part right. If my actions to defend this great country against its enemies, foreign and domestic, strikes terror into their black hearts, then YEAH, CALL ME A TERRORIST!
Of all the nerve ! She`s the same type that wants our troops out of Iraq because of the death`s there. But will refuse to acknowledge the F.B.I.`s study that shows since the attack s of 9/11 that there has been 48,000 americans killed by illegal aliens in this country. By either homicide our mansluaghter. what does she inrend to do about that? Now who has a racist agenda! It seems that somebodies stacking the deck in their favor , hey you be the judge!
